Radiohead's
Yorke's Classical Contribution
Radiohead singer Thom
Yorke has remixed a song for a classical album.
Yorke and eleven other
artists have worked on the project, named Cortical Songs.
John Matthias, the
violinist who played on Radiohead's second album, The Bends, has compiled
the album with composer Nick Ryan.
The Verve's guitarist
Simon Tong and former Beta Band keyboardist John Maclean have also remixed
tunes for the project.
Cortical Songs is
out on July 21.
Harnett To Make West End Debut
Hollywood actor Josh
Hartnett is to make his debut in the British stage in a West End version
of the Oscar-winning film Rain Man.
Harnett, 29, has signed
on to play the role of Rain Man's car dealer brother Charlie Babbitt,
played by Tom Cruise in the 1988 film.
Rain Man, which has
its West End debut at the Apollo Theatre in September, stars British actor
Adam Godley as Babbitt's autistic brother Raymond.
The role was played
by Dustin Hoffman in the film, which earned him the Academy Award for
best actor.
The play is written
by Dan Gordon and directed by David Grindley, whose stage credits include
Abigail's Party and Journey's End.
